Donna Lorrig and Bruce Valk are the lucky winners of The Food52 Cookbook giveaway! Thank you, everyone, who participated in the giveaway—it is great to be able to pass along new, inspiring cookbooks.
Ancho Chili-Cinnamon Chocolate Bark was so inspiring, we included it in our holiday baking, one of the reasons you didn’t hear from me much last week. If I could, I would send you all a gift bag full of these delicious treats! Well, at least I can share the a few photos of our efforts.
Another new addition this year Orange-Ginger Biscotti

Orange-Ginger Biscotti lined up for the second bake, you can see the chunks of crystallized ginger --YUM!
Although one Christmas cooking buddy decided not to include baking in their family’s festivities, she brought her sewing over to work on while we baked, scooped, drizzled, and taste-tested, of course. She also brought her new grand baby; we held and smooched on her every chance too (she was sweeter than the cookies, I tell ya!). Being with friends while baking, sewing, shopping, entertaining, whatever it is, is one of the utmost joys of celebrating Christmas in our home. It is the loved ones in our lives that are the greatest of gifts we enjoy on this earth. Merry Christmas, everyone!
I would love to hear about your holiday baking and food adventures, leave a comment to let me know what you are up to and feel free to include a link to your photos too.

I’m giving away some limoncello and jam I made earlier this year. I love your goodies. Those orange ginger biscotti are giving me ideas!
Oh, how I would LOVE to be on your Christmas list! Limoncello … still dreaming of making limoncello tiramisu, but the fam wants blueberry cheesecake this time.
That Ancho Chili-Cinnamon Chocolate Bark looks like an easy nibbling dessert, that should be kept away from me otherwise it will all be gone quick.
What a great collection of recipes! I’ve not baked a thing this year … well, for human consumption, anyway. This year, I’m giving an assortment of homemade jam, jelly, ketchup, mustard and, when appropriate, dog biscuits.
Mmm, homemade mustard? I would love to see a recipe for that!
Great collection of holiday treats. Unfortunately I haven’t made for myself this year…but they’re coming tomorrow!
That is a wonderful collection of baked goodies
those ginger orange biscotti sound really tempting
The chocolate bark sounds fantastic with all those great flavors! Happy holidays!
Such a wonderful collection of goodies…my favorite is the bark. Not only delicious sounding but so pretty.
I just came back to wish you a Merry Christmas.
You’ve got a beautiful variety of cookies there! I made the Russian tea cakes too! They’re yummy cookies. I wanted to do some sugar cookies but didn’t have enough time this year! Next year perhaps… Merry Christmas to you!
The Ancho Chili-Cinnamon Chocolate Bark looks amazing! I’m going to pin it! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!! <3
We enjoyed it very much! Once I get the recipe rewritten, I can share it
