If you love to cook, you have dreamed of the ideal kitchen to practice your craft. One where the oven door and dishwasher can be open at the same time, or the work triangle is a function of design, not because the space is only slightly bigger than the hall closet. I have a wonderful kitchen, but I can browse kitchen magazines at the same leisurely pace I meander through food magazines, appreciating every nuance. Doesn’t everyone need a toaster and muffin drawer?
When I stumbled across Cultivate it took about a split second to get lost in all the possibilities … daydreaming, for sure. When we built our current house, the kitchen was the room I cared the most about in designing. I would love the chance to do it again. Dreaming is fun.
Liz and I can’t wait to stop moving and finally settle down, structuring our entire house around the kitchen. It will be a great day when that finally happens!
