Savoring Today turned two in March and it definitely feels like the toddler stage of blogging with the learning curve ever steep. Photography and photo editing, new acronyms like SEO and HTML, formatting and theme design, as well as social media jargon, is worth all the extra hours to share what I love: connecting family and friends with healthy, delicious food.
What began as a great place to keep track of recipes for an eventual cookbook, turned into so much more. This tiny space in the vast blogosphere has provided a virtual home for a passion and journey, a place to invite others to join me at the table. The sweetest surprise has been the on-line community of subscribers and blogging friends—every comment, link, mention, and email, personal and meaningful to me.
Whether it’s been 2 days or 2 years, thank you for savoring with me! ♥
Blogs, a shadow of real life, are ever changing.
Here is yet another change.
Good change.
In my small corner of the food blog world, April at The 21st Century Housewife and Alea at Premeditated Leftovers have been like kindred spirits. I got to know them through Hearth & Soul Blog Hop—food from your hearth, to feed your soul—which I first discovered through Alex at A Moderate Life. Blog hops are a fun way to share posts, discover new blogs, ideas, recipes, and maybe even meet friends along the way.
Hearth & Soul Hop has always been one of my favorite places to link posts because the Mission Statement resonates with me and I appreciate their commitment to building community. It was an honor to be asked to co-host. Starting tomorrow and each Tuesday following, you will find Hearth & Soul Hop here at Savoring Today and I hope you will join in.
