Today I am savoring friendship. The kind of friendship that is close-by and reaches out during crisis and the friendship of an on-line community that brightens my day when I see their comments on a post. Raymund of Ang Sarap is one of my blogging friends and I am honored to contribute a guest post on his blog today. I have followed Ang Sarap since I began Savoring Today in 2010, his photos continue to inspire me and there is always something cultural or historical to learn from his recipes. His blog is the first place I look for Asian cuisine.
When Raymund invited me to be a guest on his blog, I created the Fig, Chèvre, & Arugula Pizza especially for his readers as the last in the Five Pies in Five Days series, a fun and delicious conclusion. Instead, those plans were interrupted by the Waldo Canyon Fire and evacuating our home Tuesday night, so it is next in the series that will resume sometime after we are allowed to return to our home.
A topping of fresh arugula and grape tomatoes over tangy goat cheese and fig creates a meal as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate.
