Welcome to the Hearth and Soul Hop for July 31, 2012—the food carnival for and about food that not only nourishes our bodies, but our souls!
Were you wondering if we could sustain yet another week of highlighting peaches? Well, I was willing, but there were not enough peach recipes to justify a peaches-only highlight. Sad, but true. So this week I spied another theme I could sure use more of: Brilliance. Shortcuts and kitchen tricks to make life a little easier if not tastier. These posts are simply brilliant, at least they are to me. See if you don’t agree … visit all three. (Hmm, rhyming must be the result of peach withdrawal.)
Highlights from last week:
Homemade Red Wine Vinegar by Jens Natural Kitchen
Fastest, Easiest, Crispiest Hash Browns Ever by Premeditated Leftovers
Freezing Zucchini by Traditional Foods
