A couple of years ago, friends and readers submitted Christmas Tradition stories, recipes, and photos to celebrate the dearest held traditions of the holidays. It was like receiving a brief welcome into cherished places in their homes.
This year, you are invited to join us for It Just Wouldn’t Be Christmas Without It! A tradition could certainly fit this theme as well, but the idea is to share that one thing or special moment you look forward to every year and without it, Christmas wouldn’t be complete.
A song.
A recipe.
A moment.
A church service.
Family argument over a Scrabble game.
A store.
A particular gathering.
Sledding.
Socks.
A movie.
Stringing lights.
A parade.
Someone’s house.
A storybook.
Volunteering.
The tree selection.
The stockings.
You get the idea. It can be funny, touching, inspiring, so long as it is finishes the sentence, “It just wouldn’t be Christmas without ________.”

Here’s how to share them:
Submit your story by email at savoringtoday@comcast.net or click on the contact button in the header anytime between December 1-22, 2012. Submissions will be reviewed, edited if necessary, and coordinated in a posting schedule. It doesn’t have to be a long story, but photos are helpful. If you have a post from your blog you’d like to share, that is fine too. Videos, photos, music, recipes, stories … of course, if no one submits anything I will still be posting recipes, though I think this would be more fun!
