Hearth & Soul Hop at Savoring Today

Welcome to the Hearth and Soul Tuesday Blog Hop for July 9, 2013—the food carnival for and about food that not only nourishes our bodies, but our souls!

Hope your 4th of July celebration and weekend was filled with splashes of fireworks, a few good friends, and lots of tasty food. We decided to keep things low key this weekend, opting not to have anyone over to give ourselves a good bit of down time. It was a wise decision, but when we sat down to our grilled steaks, sweet corn, and Caesar salad, my husband mentioned how it was too bad we didn’t have more people around our table to enjoy such a great meal. I love that about him—he is so willing to share good things, even when he’s tired.

After a weekend of good food, there is always the question of what to cook now … these highlights from last week should be able to answer that question just fine.
