We are visiting a college with our daughter this week for orientation—the time is short and I am certain I haven’t savored nearly enough moments with her, but time has a way of marching on anyway. It is a bundle of mixed emotions to sort when your youngest gets ready to leave the nest, but there’s so much to do over the next month I don’t think there will be much time for sorting them all until she’s taken flight.
Our highlights from last week caught my eye for different reasons. I have been looking for a chicken lettuce wrap recipe to try for a while, I think I’ll start with this one. The copy cat Chick-fil-A sauce just makes me happy to find something better for my daughter than the regular stuff she likes so much—it’s a mom thing. And the roasted bell pepper almond cheese spread makes me want to find a cracker, or toast, or something to spread it on.
